Visiting Africans hate crime target, UA police say

African community leaders who are at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville for a White House-supported summer fellowship told police early Sunday a man knocked on their door and used racial slurs, a university police official said, and investigators are classifying the incident as a hate crime.

UA fraternity suspended during investigation

The Fraternity and Sorority Programs Office said Phi Gamma Delta's interim suspension of recognition from the UA is because of Student Code of Conduct violations alleging the chapter's involvement in hazing, offering alcohol to minors and conspiring to not cooperate with university officials and university police.
