That would fall under, "cruel and unusual punishment". Evidently, your not a U.S. native. In this country, this is a Federal violation. Prison inmates, are afforded certain protections under the U.S. constitution. This insures our status as a civilzed country, and not a third world country. |

1 What is a person to do when they learn nothing but how to get into more trouble while locked-up-? What are then going to do when they get out if they can't find work or get work because they were in Jail-? DAH, live on the Streets and set around and starve-? I don't think so, I wouldn't and neither would you. Lets be honest, talk is cheap, reality is reality, and the Courts are seeing good hard working people in them now who are out of work and have no means. |

1 Your commit is as if ALL do such, as if ALL of us are going to Hell. It is a matter of Choice being in Prison or working at a Prison. All good guys don't wear White Hats and Badges, no more than all bad guys are People in Jails. Some of the Newer Translations of the Bible maybe will need to be burnt as with Church ideas and ways of Men than have taken them over. I guess the same can be said about MOST Court Rooms DayCare Play Grounds and much of our Justice Sytem is Respecter Of Person for the sole purpose of Making Money for the few at At All Costs to many, right or wrong. |

You bet ya friend. I pulled 8 months total in the US Army Stockade in two trips. But I was standing-up for something, mainly GOD and Country. What have or are you standing-up for-? But no problem, "Me and Jesus, Have Our Own Thing Going." |

A man steals a $2.00 bottle of wine from a liquor store, goes to prison for 8 years. At $38,000 dollars a year for 8 years =$30400.00 Dollars. Now I ask you should all the taxpayers have to pay for this up keep when the man didn't steal from all of us? Wouldn't it make more sence for the liquor store owner to pay, after all it was his $2.00 bottle of wine, and he's the one crying justice. Myself, I sick and tired of wasting tax money on prisons in the first place. Any one with half a brain knows that prisons are like a school, they learn how to do bigger and better crimes from the older more exper's. Just shut down the prisons, load up , aim stright!

Right on. There is no rehab or OJT Trade school like Training Programs. Most People in Pens and Local jails are in there on Drugs and petty charges to start with. Some times because of a cuttie and smart monuth Judge, as many are called and should be, because they are less in manhood than those who stand before them. There are many factors to why a person is and isn't in some Jail or Pen. But braking Laws of a minor sort is no call for all the Lock-up time given without Rehab. |

well my thoughts are everyone deserves a second chance because there are some in prison who do change for the better. but it's the repeat offenders that i have problems with. we live in a world where only money matters and people don't want to hire those with felonies so they immaturely think that the only way to make it is that they commit a crime. this is the world we live in though!!!

I believe those who have no shame or remorse for what they did, should be sent on to their Final Judgment. Those who really Repent and Change, shouldn't. Then there is the matter of OUR (by proxy)putting Innocent People to Death. What is the value of one Life. There have been people found Innocent and Freed after serving more than 60 years, I believe. Who is going to give them back their lives-? |

A valid point. |
