N.J. State Budget Cuts Would Fell 9 State Parks, 80 Workers

“Closing treasured state parks and cutting the jobs of the hardworking state workers who staff them is a grave injustice and remarkably shortsighted”

One in five New Jersey state parks would be forced to close at the height of the summer season and 80 parks workers would be laid off as part of cost-cutting measures forced by Gov. via WNBC-TV New York

Seems stupid; instead of raising the fees a buck, they would rather close the parks. How about Corzine firing any goverment employee who makes more than $150,000 a year gross, or better yet, close the DEP. If you have ever visited them, you know in general, most of them don't do anything anyway.

I moved here from California because I fell in love with parvins state park. I tould my husband i would be happy living in a shack if I could be in walking distence of the park. Well it was not easy but we did it. Now to even think it could be closed is just to much to comprehend.
