This is a health issue, not a rights issue. There is no right to spew toxic tars & poisons in air others have to breath. The rights and freedoms of non-smokers take precedence over selfish smokers whos' smoke intrudes into other peoples air space. Thank You for your understanding.

When is he up for re-election? Old anti smoking NJ gov Corzine and the anti smoking Va gov candidate got kicked to the gutter yesterday where they belong. Organize you smoking voter block.

Its time to kick special interest big pharma who funds smoking bans and profits from their own nicotine beyond the gutter to the sewer

Covert smoking ban promoter RWJF president, Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, is on list of visitors to Obama White House

The White House on Friday released a small list of visitors to the White House since President Barack Obama took office in January, including lobbyists, business executives, activists and celebrities.

Only about 110 names —and 481 visits —out of the hundreds of thousands who have visited the Obama White House were made public.

Advocates and nonprofit leaders include National Organization for Women President Kim Gandy, and Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, president of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which is interested in health policy......
The irony of course is, or should be, that RWJF policies (funding smoking ban efforts) have eliminated hundreds of thousands of jobs.....something the White House claims they are trying to reverse. Now with J & J pharmaceutical and medical device maker's partner RWJF pushing government healthcare reform, job losses in the health insurance and private healthcare industry should also be anticipated.

Checking the White House visitor list you'll see that RWJF President Risa Lavizzo-Mourey has presented her special interest agenda to the White House 7 times thus far.

Sure there is you non smokers drive them every day.

Researchers have also found a link between lung cancer and certain air pollutants that are caused by the burning of fossil fuels. This relationship has not been clearly defined, and more research is being done.

Many other problems exist. We have new laws going on the books about the type fuel, type engine Ect. that we'll be using in the future. This forum is however, about smoking, not other sorces of toxic air. On future postings you make, Thanks in advance for sticking to the subject.

Typical non smoking response. Now wouldnt you not agree its also about toxic substance that hurt your lungs like tobacco smoke ? Hence I feel its my moral duty to draw your attention to other toxic substances that are hurting your lungs. It would be only fitting to point out said substances since you are so concerned about your health, or are you ? Since I know most of your are not open minded enough to grab the concept of the fact that its not just one product killing you.
No big issues on pushing to eliminate fossil fuels as a source for energy in the near future.
Thank you for not paying attention to other health hazzards thats killing you.

Ok let me correct myself.
Isnt the smoking forums about non smokers blaming smokers for them getting lung cancer.
My post were to inform the uninformed about other hazzards which causes lung cancer. Therefor I believe it does belong in the smoking forums. But it you prefer to be closed minded about other toxins causing you to develope lung cancer. Im ok with it.!

The only real problems to you're health are the problems you have with you're parents. Seek counciling to help you get over them.

Tell us Candid...your kind claims there is "no safe level" of tobacco smoke.

Perhaps in all of your self righteousness...you could find the time to tell us all about the other forms of smoke that have "no safe level"?

How about a list of the top 10?

Would you be willing to apply your sides ridiculous standard of "no safe level" to all forms of smoke that contain known carcinogens...or only to those you hate?

There is nothing more annoying than a self righteous moral busybody with HUGE double standards.

NOONES rights and freedoms should take precedence over anothers. If a business owner decides to make their establishment smoke-free then that is their right. However, it is your right to not eat at a place that offers a smoking section. There has never been an unbiased study to accually link second hand smoke to lung cancer or other major health issues. So, I hope business owners fight this B-S law and I hope that we can run BEv's sorry butt out of office next election!
