Gov. Jennifer Granholm put the 2009-2010 budget to bed Friday, but vowed "the fight is not over" because cuts to priorities are "too painful." The governor vetoed $128 million in spending, including $7 million for the Michigan State Fair, effectively shutting it down.

In apeech Gov. Granholm gave, one of her comments was if you thought the past five years was something, wait until the next five. This must be what she was talking about. We are in such desperate need for a new leadership! Like someone who would put their people first.

No society in the history of man survived, let alone advanced, by neglecting the education of its children. Cutting education is cutting our collective throats. Before we blame the current Governor, perhaps we should not forget her predocessor who passed on to her a massive debt.
Why is it that Republicans run us into debt, and Democrats are supposed to take the blame and then fix it?

I thought the State Fair was a dead issue. Why is there $7 million in the budget for that item? It was supposed to be self-supporting in recent years anyway.

Certain statements from Granholm stick in my craw. She wanted to tax heirs to an estate at an increased level. I paraphrase her statement as, "That money never belonged to those people anyway. They will never miss it." This is the way democrats feel about everybody's money. They can spend it better than you can.

What a BOYFRIEND SHOULD Know and a GIRLFRIEND SHOULD do:

Guys:Put your hands around her waist firmly
girls: lay your headback on his shoulder and put your arms on his.

Guys:whisper in her ear
Girls: giggle

Girls:whenever he tries to kiss you, don't just let him, kiss him back.

Girls: When you want to cuddle with him, tell him you're cold
Guys: automatically move closer to her.(if your stupid then you'll either say" me too " or you'll give her your jacket... don't)

Girls: During a movie, if he puts his arm around you, tilt your head on his shoulder
Guys: lift her chin up and kiss her.

Guys: When she tells you she loves you, look deep into her eyes, give her a peck on the lips, and tell her you love her too... and mean it.

Girls:When you're both laying under the stars, put yourhead on his chest and close your eyes as you listen to his steady heart beat
Guys: whisper in her ear and link your hands with hers.

Now make a wish about something you would like to happen
between you and your crush....
