Remember, if the egg was fertilized it would of been an embryo. What the morning after pill does is stop the fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus.
So at this stage, the egg is already in fact an living embryo.
The uterus simply serves as a nurturing nest for the embryo to develop, this is why an embryo can be implanted into another female via in vitro fertilization.
So in fact the the attachment to the uterus does not necessarily create life, it only sustains it, so the morning after pill is simply signaling to the body (uterus)"reject the embryo".
