well, despite the way the economy is the armed forces are always available.

That means more people will be available to fight wars instead of working under the employ of recovering companies. This will then lead to a higher military budget appropriation which will include more weapons and materiel. USA winds up with a healthy military but a sagging economy geared towards more importation because of reduced production.

IN OTHER WORDS, WE WILL NEED ANOTHER WAR TO MAKE THE MILITARY WORK FOR THEIR MONEY.
