I don't understand what all the fuss is about, there are at least 6 clubs in San Francisco you can buy pot and smoke it there, there are a couple places like this one where you can just show up and hang out and smoke your own. In Oakland California, there is a coffee shop that is a pot coffee shop where you get your buds faster then your coffee. This isn't anything new America, we have had Amsterdam style pot bars for many years in California. Whoever wrote this piece doesn't know what he is talking about.

This is Oregon the place where many a republican moved too to escape California... this is a big deal and another milestone in the medical cannabis movement.

Is that the same Oregon that issues ID's & drivers licenses to illegal aliens, that in turn return to California with some form of Govt. paperwork?

I love it, hopefully law enforcement will give this a chance. I also hope someone with real good intentions is in charge so the citizens of Oregon and the rest of the United States see that marijuana can be used responsibly by concenting adults even without a medical reason. Good luck to the business, I hope to see you soon!

Why would rich republicans leave California? Their taxes haven't increased in 20 years compared to those who make under $100k.

I don't quite know why they would but they have. Oregon is the bible belt of the west it is quite conservative, I know this because I have lived there and continue to visit with long time friends for 23 years now. I don't think it is the "rich" ones but more of the Christian right crowd.
