Why would someone even conduct a poll about Running for President that includes someone that isn't even running? I know Obama hasn't accomplished anything but, to make up this silliness and then endorse it as if it mattered is downright desperate. What's next? Are they going to say that the Obama family dog does more tricks than some random politician's iguana? This is all just silly rhetoric invented by some sheep to draw attention away from the horrible job that Obama is doing as President. We all know that he has managed to accomplish nothing. So, what beeter way to make him look good than to pick a random politician to pit him against in a poll about an election that the politician isn't even going to be in? Silly, just silly. Wow, are you ever not paying attention to Tim Pawlenty. He's got his fundraising instrument all set up, and he's been banging every drum he can find to get name recognition out there. There's no doubt he's testing the water; he's got his foot so far in he's practically treading it at this point.

Have the people of Minnesota been watching random governors across the country? Apparently, he's banging the wrong drums. I know, let's put Obama against the Governor of California, he's not even a natural born citizen and doesn't even qualify for POTUS. But, hey, that doesn't matter does it? As long as the numbers are in Obama's favor, the details don't matter. Maybe we can open up a phone book from Alta, UT (Population 370), close our eyes and point at a name to put him against in a poll. As long as we can keep the numbers favorable for Obama and keep the many dismal failures of his administration out of the news, we're all set. At the end of the day, this poll means absolutely nothing. Obama's current Approval rating for today is 46%. That is a -13 index, yes Negative Thirteen. With that said, he is beating an unpopular governor in a poll that the polling company calls a "hypothetical contest." It's right in the story, read it. So, hypothetically, the POTUS is more popular than an unknown Governor? It's pretty sad when you have to say that a President may hypothetically have an accomplishment when put up against an unpopular politician from Minnesota. Where are the real accomplishments? Oh, they don't "actually" exist? Well, then let's create some "hypothetical" ones.

Yes, and like Dancing With The Stars, Survivor, American Idol, and the Bachelorette it has nothing to do with news. And that is perfectly OK, just don't believe that it really is the news and we'll all be fine.

All the while, we will be diverting attention away from the real issues. Hypothetically, we could make up some hypothetical numbers and get news rags all over the nation to print the hypothetical results. Hypothetical readers can hypothetically read it and hypothetically, they'll believe it. Hypothetically, I think that we could pull this off. At least in the State of Minnesota, it's already been hypothetically proven to work there. We'll just use Minnesota's "Hypothetical Model." Hypothetically, of course.

It's hard to believe people voted for the person ( Obama) so blindly. It's the only thing they could do if they wanted a rock star for President. McCain was no piece of cake either. Lets vote for Huckabee the next time and bring some class and honesty back to the White House. This man Obama is getting boring. The poor fool thinks he is still trying to win the office and has basically accomplished nothing in the last year but to make people uneasy and one positive thing, they are starting to realize what a terrible mistake they made voting for him. And we think the Dude in Afghanistan is bad, we have one of the biggest liars in town trying to run the show. He has to stop blaming President Bush's for all his problems and assume responsibility and go forward,

So polling to see who would win vs. a relitive unknow (as a poll lost week showed 50% of the people asked had no idea who Pawlenty was) is just dumb. As far as the other Republican front runners fairing better, well they all campained just a year and some change ago. I doubt people have forgoten Rommney or Huckabee after such a short time.

Not after taxpayers find out about this Democratic entitlement program. And we wonder about our democratic politicians! Trillion dollar+ budget deficit for the fiscal year 2009 and the money keeps flowing! Must be ultra income redistribution! I couldn't believe this, so I went to the web site and learned that about half of the states offer these Obama phones. I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his "Obama phone." I asked him what an "Obama phone" was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Check it out! Absolutely Wonderful! https://www.safelinkwireless.com/EnrollmentPu ...

I Googled it, too, and it's only partially correct (BTW, I don't believe you got a call from a "former employee" yourself. You don't say so, but your post is copied from an e-mail that's been circulating around the country). The program was authorized by Congress in 1997, before President Obama was elected. The law actually calls for subsidized basic cellphone service to low-income people, not just welfare recipients. Starting in 2008 (before Pressident Obama was elected) SafeLink on its own started to provide free phones, but carriers are not required to do so. You people will believe anything won't you?

And when you say he's not, I observe that you must not be following the story.... To which your rejoinder is that you're not following the story? ;-)
