Kompany hoping for Toure deal

Vincent Kompany believes it is a strong statement of intent that so many players have recently signed new deals and he expects Yaya Toure to soon commit his long-term future to Manchester City. City captain Kompany put pen to paper on a five-year contract extension in the summer but he is more pleased that team-mates such as Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov have also agreed to stay at the club.
