Romania Cable Systems is negotiating its exit from Slovakia's cable TV market, multiple sources told financial newspaper ZFcorporate.ro, adding that discussions had developed past the initial stage and that likely buyers include larger cableco Slovakia or an investment fund.

Employees of cable-bundle producer Delphi Slovakia were set to stage a protest in front of the plant in Senica at 6:00-7:00 on Friday, November 23, to express their discontent at planned mass layoffs and the company's plans to move away from Slovakia, the TASR newswire learnt.

Trade unionists from Delphi Slovensko protested on Wednesday, October 24, against the firm's planned layoff of more than 500 employees, and sought higher severance pay for those affected.
