Police: DNA, ballistics link Monfort to officer's killing

DNA evidence collected from the scene of Officer Tim Brenton's Oct. 31 homicide and the arson of four police vehicles nine days earlier matched Christopher J. Monfort, the man shot Friday by homicide detectives at his Tukwila apartment, police said.
