It's a common occurrence that an up-and-coming rock band can never really catch a break. It's less common that the reason is that the band has been touring the world nonstop.

Such is the case for pop-rock band Motion City Soundtrack (MCS), which consists of keyboardist Jesse Johnson, guitarist Joshua Cain, vocalist/guitarist Justin Pierre, bassist/pianist Matthew Taylor and drummer Tony Thaxton.

MCS recently returned to the United States for a 40-city tour to promote their new album on Epitaph Records, 'Even If It Kills Me,' after playing in Japan at the Fuji Rock Festival and completing a tour in the United Kingdom. Kicks! recently caught up with Johnson, who has no complaints about the whirlwind schedule of the band. Read more
