The Swedish government wants to sell spirits company V&S Vin & Sprit, maker of the premium vodka brand. Spirits sales have been the bright spot in many otherwise flat alcohol markets. And the premium end of the bar has been particularly hot. That makes Absolut a brand several firms want to add to their liquor cabinet.
