Yes, the FLDS folks were hard-working, yes, they were living what they believed. Problem is, they believe that girls should start having babies at age 12. If they change their ways, they may get their children back; it's up to them.

These people are collecting welfare money. All the wives having babies like rabbits are getting welfare money for each kid born. Then the money they receive has to be turned over to their spiritual husband and in turn the husband turns the money over to the head prophet. The young girls are brainwashed and made to spiritually marry some old man! Dale Barlow, who served 45 days in jail last year after being charged with sexual misconduct in 2005 for marrying and impregnating his third wife when she was still 16.
Warren Jeffs was convicted last fall on charges of being an accomplice to rape, after authorities say he forced a 14-year-old girl to marry her 19-year-old cousin. This the old men of the FLDS are examples of what crimes they are guilty of.

Hey Max, the only people on any 'welfare' are about 10 disabled people, and several older adults collecting social security. Get your facts straight! To be objective and fair, there MAY be a few abuse cases (2,3, maybe even up to 10) certainly not 100 or 200 much less 460. This is just persecution of religious beliefs. 60+ Years after WWII, the second holocaust has begun.

A religious community should not depend on outside mooching sources to survive, it should be selfsustaining. An FLDS man can become very rich. The US government pays out $500 per child per month! If a man has 23 kids that comes out to be $11500 per month! It is also VERY disturbing to know that young teenagers as young as 13 get married to middle aged men! These teenagers have no choice in the matter either. Their, "prophet" forces them to marry these middle aged men. They found over 15 girls under the age of 16 that were pregnant! The fathers are probably 30 years old or older... Doesn't Dateline NBC, "To catch a predator" catch guys of this age going after girls under 16? I guess in this community, it's a free for all for predators under the word of their, "prophet"! What
