"Ultimately, this use – or misuse – of fear and rumour over Hasan's Islamic faith should be moot in light of the record of the thousands of Muslim American soldiers who have served and made sacrifice – such as Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, awarded the prestigious Purple Heart and Bronze Star and praised by Colin Powell, who now rests in Arlington cemetery after giving his life to protect and serve his country in Iraq. There are currently 20,000 Muslims serving with honour in the US military, according to the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council. If Hasan's faith is ultimately proven to be the misguided inspiration for his violence, then the brave and patriotic service of thousands of Muslim American soldiers renders him an isolated and aberrant exception."

Here is my point. If you let guys like "in the rear with the gear" and his ilk have their way, this is excactly what they are attempting.

Hasan is hardly an isolated, aberrant exception.

From the guardian.co.uk:

"In March 2003, Sergeant Hasan Akbar, a Muslim convert, killed two of his commanding officers by throwing a grenade into their tent in Kuwait. His family said he had sensed his faith was causing tension in the ranks. He had recently been disciplined for insubordination, and prosecutors said he was angry about US troops killing his fellow Muslims in the Iraq war. He was sentenced to death by a military court in 2005.

"That same year, two Muslim servicemen, including an army chaplain, were accused of espionage at Guantánamo Bay. Captain James Yee, the chaplain, was later cleared of the charges. Senior Airman Ahmad Halabi, an Arabic translator at the prison, pleaded guilty to lesser charges. In 2000, Ali Mohamed, an al-Qaida operative who became a sergeant in the army special forces, pleaded guilty to conspiracy in connection with the 1998 bombings at the US embassies in Tanzania and Kenya."

The fact remains that even though there are a lot of wonderful men and women in our military who happen to be Muslims, the Muslims who have murdered have done it in Islam's name.

You Muslims need to figure out why Islam has created so many criminals who believe their actions are in accord with Islam. We're not going to fix if for you, but until you all do this, you're going to have to face the normal human reaction to it, which is to mistrust many Muslims when Islam is so obviously the cause.

He has put his religion first.... and that is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

He didnt want to be deployed ... but that is what you sign up for ... to serve your country. To take an oath when you sign on the dotted line.

You join for a certain length of time ... and after that you are given the option to stay or leave.... well this guy chose to stay on ....

People will say dont blame his religion... but why shouldnt we... when his fellow ex-classmates have stated: "He would frequently say that he was Muslim first and an American second. That came out in just about everything he did in the university,"

Does not this ring a heck of alarm bells... he DID put his religion first.... No ifs or butts about it... its plain and simple.

You know this how? You have just made this up. More deceit. At least your cat has an honest face.

You know this how? You made this up as well. Islam could not be the motivation since this are unislamic actions. They are the acts of a desperate man - not a zealous man.

Normal reaction for you - racist bigot.

You apologising on behalf of your country for this list?

We do NOT denounce this officer's actions,we do however apologize for the following acts committed by our country:

"Bay of Tonkin

The East Timor Massacre by USA Supported Suharto

1902 Samar Massacre in the Philippines by the USMC

1,000,000 Dead Iraqis

Afghani & Pakistanis Killed by the USA

Starvation of Africa & Rape of it's Resources by the USA

Support of the Brutal "Israeli" Occupation Entity

Etc. Etc.

Every day is Fort Hood for the world community due to USA policies and & their tyrant totalitarian puppet regimes. Rest assure the slain terrorists at Fort Hood are in the eternal hellfire and it is not to late for YOU to change your policies."

You are as nuts as those guys. So you found some nutters applauding the murder and now you feel better? Because people are dead to prove your point? You are a sad piece of work.

These guys represent nobody but themselves. It is irresponsible to give nutters a platform - whether it is people like this or the opposite like the Dutch nutter.

Your trust in them as faithful followers of Islam is misguided and insulting. But it explains your ignorant racism and bigotry.

The last terorist attack was on Thursday-a terrorist and a devote Muslim shot up our Army Post in Texas, please why do you condone this? Two weeks before that a man in Chicago-a terrorist and Muslim was arrested for planning to kill the Denmark cartoonist. Two days after that a terrorist Muslim was gunned down in Detroit, one week before that they arrested two Muslim terrorists at O'hare in Chicago-plotting with a halal meat plant that was sponsoring other terrorist Muslims to come into this country. And the week before that two Muslims terrorist shot two Jews at 6:30 AM, in LA, while they were going to pray. And this is what happened that "I" know of since the second week of October.

Ok Abu, I'm callin ya on it.

Do you play poker? Fine, let's play quran. I really want to kick your ass....debate wise, no violence. You challenge me on my knowledge even after reading my book. But based on your arguments here, I got your quran boy.

If you say - that what this killer did was un-islamic, then back it up with quran. Keep in mind - his frame of mind based on what YOU'VE said about his state of mind - in your other posts.

So come on! Show me where in the quran does it say, what this killer did was wrong.
