Brave words from a healthy Voltaire who wasn't so courageous on his death bed.... The truths of religion are never so well understood as by those who have lost the power of reasoning.

1 The fear was Voltaire's, not mine. |

"Your posts are filled w/complaints (abt others), and if your life is really that great, why would you spend so much time of it here?" I enjoy teaching the ignorant masses that there is no god. Who do I complain about? "The fact is you can't prove a single thing you posted abt yourself, so it's as worthless as everything else you have said." Nonetheless, it is true. I could say the same about your supposed military service, which I didn't ask you about. You volunteered that worthless info. You were speculateing on my life(actually, you were projecting your hopes that I am miserable), so I let you have a peek into how truly happy I am!! I find t funny that you can't seem to not reply to my "worthless posts" LOL "Yes, and neither do I really believe that atheists celebrate Christmas and Halloween." They don't, where the hell would you get the idea that they do?? "Just like your avatar, you haven't told the truth once since you got here" I call bullshit. How about you quote something I have posted that is untrue.(If you even have the balls to respond, I am sure it is going to be so simple-minded, that it is going to be painful to see) |

1 A simple-minded reply, from a simple-minded poster. The fact is, that you said when one prays, they should only ask for things that god wants, not what that individual person wants. I posted a prayer from the pope that asks god do something extraordinary, something that wouldn't typically happen. It was a prayer asking god to change the hearts of men. Truly a supernatural thing to ask for. At least as spectacular as ending abortion!! Yet somehow, you have refused to reconcile the two. Hmmmm, it seems that someone is wrong here.....Could it be the Pope? Could it be Joe???? Joe, how about growing some balls, and explaining who is wrong... You, or the Pope. How is it that I have a feeling that some lily-livered, gutless, pussy, excuse is coming our way from GI Joe. Super-duper, double war fightin', VFW life member, rootin'est, tootin'est, roman Catholicest, hombre, east of the Mississip? LOL watch and see!!( Or he'll just ignore it like all those other questions that he won't answer). |

Make no mistake, it's yours too, just that yours has a much stronger grip on you. If your religion did not offer the eternal life quackology that it does you would have rejected it as easily as most do alien abductions. The only things people believe in through faith are things that put the believer at some kind of perceived personal advantage. That says it all about what drives faith. |

"Faith" doesn't confer a personal advantage since it's unseen and unproven. |

The "masses," but you're the one getting schooled here. And what a surprise that once again you took time out from your so-called great life to post here on Topix. No one believes a lying snake |
|||
I can only assume that you think posting on topix is a chore, or something unpleasent. I guess for you it is, but that doesn't mean it is for me. Again, in your simple-minded way, you are projecting your misery onto others. How utterly pathetic. I didn't complain about "the masses". Again, your complete lack of intellect , and absolute failure to comprehend the written word has proven that you are a fool. A sad, loser of a fool. I would imagine you would know. So far I haven't seen anyone who takes you seriously. Again, how utterly pathetic. Have you straightend out the Pope yet? What a surprise!!!! Just as I predicted, you have run away from a question like the little sissy I said you were!!! How could you think this isn't fun for me!!!! |

1 The claim of eternal life is irrelevant to you? LOL |

Make wishes to a god asking him to grant his own wishes? LOL If there was a god, then it is obvious, the way things are is exactly what he wants or he would change it. What's to prevent him? |
||||
That's what we call "joe logic". It is devoid of all common sense, and if you disagree with it, Joe attacks you personally, rather than defend his position. Amazing isn't it? |
||||
It's more sad to me to see people who willingly disable their brains in exchange for feel good dogma. |

1 Of course not; as Blaise Pascal wagered, it's a win-win proposition as Christians have nothing to lose. |

1 That in and of itself is a very foolish belief because it assumes that your god would find more merit in blind faith than in logic and reason. I would also argue that going through life out of touch with reality is indeed a loss, every bit as much as going through life drunk, not that we all shouldn't have the right to do so if we choose. |

1 Assuming anything you say is true in all the garbage you post, I managed to miss your "winter bonus": is that anything like a Christmas bonus? How odd that a self-proclaimed atheist like yourself would give a bonus for the birth of someone you claim never existed. |

Have to give Joe a point for that one Snake. |

Not considered foolish by who, other fearful death deniers? LOL Explain how you know this god finds more merit in blind faith than he does in logic and reason. |
