The property, which was at one time the subject of a ludicrous lawsuit over a misspelling of the word 'mazel' in title documents, will be auctioned off April 9, after its previous owner defaulted on nearly $25 million in mortgages attached to the property, the Daily News has learned. Real estate giant the Chetrit Group, owner of the Chelsea Hotel, owns the debt on the building, at 315 W. 35th St., and is a likely bidder on the property. Comment?
