Not long ago, Caring Ministries of Morgan County received what amounted to its largest single grant of 2014: $40,000 from the Daniels Fund. And while that may seem like a lot of money, the problem is that it has already been used up, according to Caring Ministries Executive Director Debora Beck-Massey. Comment?

A group of Realtors has sold the building they occupy in Fort Collins to a pair of investors from Denver doing business as Bluerock, Rockstone and Lakota. Five partners of Realtec Commercial Real Estate Services sold the three-story, 13,444-square-foot office building at 400 E. Horsetooth Road for $2.5 million, or $186 per square foot. Comment?

If any proof is needed that the great recession is a thing of the past for most Coloradans, just look at the foreclosure numbers released Tuesday by the Colorado Division of Housing. Reporting on the numbers, Inside Real Estate News noted foreclosure filings dropped 25.2 percent, to 9,263, in a dozen major counties in Colorado last year. Comment?

State investigators digging into Colorado attorneys who controlled the bulk of the business during the foreclosure crisis are taking a closer look at a title insurance company with ties to those law firms. In a Denver District Court filing, the Colorado Attorney General's Office said a company with connections to former foreclosure powerhouse Lawrence Castle "might be improperly charging an additional $175 for title commitments" it never actually issued to consumers. The numbers respectively refer to the average price of a single-family home in Summit County in north-central Colorado, and the percentage of those homes that are second homes and thus vacant much of the year. THE Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Ltd announced that it acquired Hilton Rose Hall for nearly J$10 billion financed in part by debt, financials indicated. "The purchase of the hotel by X Fund Properties Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sagicor Real Estate X Fund, was finalised in January 2015 for a purchase price of US$85.5 million ," stated the financials released on Wednesday to shareholders.
