The number of homes sold in Weld, Larimer and Boulder counties along with their selling price increased in March, according to a report released Thursday. According to the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Report, 998 condominiums and single-family home were sold in Weld and Larimer counties in March, a 49 percent increase compared with the 670 that were sold in February and a 19 percent increase compared with the 840 that were sold in March of last year. Quicken Loans , the nation's largest Federal Housing Administration mortgage lender, filed suit late Friday in Federal District Court against the United States Department of Justice and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The company says it was left with no alternative but to take this action after the DOJ demanded Quicken Loans make public admissions that were blatantly false, as well as pay an inexplicable penalty or face legal action.
