You'll forgive me if I seemed a bit puzzled. While I have never run or managed a campaign before I have had a bit of experience recognizing negative things in my life and for the life of me I can't find anything falling into that category regarding Vince Dean's campaign against Gwen Tidwell for the position of Criminal Court Clerk.
Supporting Vince Dean - Tuesday Jul 22
I have known Vince Dean for many years. We served together at the Chattanooga Police Department where we were both supervisors.
The article by reporter Louie Brogdon in Thursday's paper said that Vince Dean, who is running against Criminal Court Clerk Gwen Tidwell, criticized her for the more than $50 million in uncollected fees since 1994.

Mayor Andy Berke, City Attorney Wade Hinton and administration official Molly Cooper are among contributors to a new PAC made up of "young, progressive and experienced individuals, combining our talents to change politics as usual in Tennessee."
An offer that Mayor Andy Berke's office scoffed at months ago now mirrors a proposed settlement giving Hamilton County Schools nearly everything it asked for in the ongoing dispute over millions in delinquent liquor taxes.
Public Safety Coordinator Paul Smith told the Chattanooga City Council on Tuesday the organization Hope for the Inner City was the strongest candidate to handle the case management and support services for individuals going through Mayor Andy Berke's Violence Reduction Initiative.
