COLOMBO: Over 2,000 affected by heavy rains, flash floods in Sri Lanka

More than 2,000 persons in Sri Lankais Gampaha, Kandy, Badulla and Matale districts have been affected by heavy rains and subsequent flash floods triggered by low pressure conditions developing in the seas off South India, during the past two days, the Disaster Management Centre said yesterday.
