Sleeping Bear Dunes Doing Better than Positive National Trend
Thousands more tourists are visiting a national park in Northern Michigan this year.
A downstate man drowned in Lake Michigan near the mouth of the Platte River. Benzie County Sheriff's officials said the victim, a 21-year-old from Westland, was pronounced dead around 5 p.m. Saturday at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital in Frankfort.
