Harmony Hall set to host bird exhibition
The "Birds in Harmony" show, sale and exposition inaugurated last spring will return Friday through April 7 at Historic Harmony Hall, 109 E. King St.

Harmony Hall in Kinston was abuzz with activity as November drew to a close. Members of the Cooperative Extension, Master Gardeners and Dirt Daubers garden club were hard at work decorating the historic building with a wide array of fresh greenery, including a live magnolia tree that will serve as this year's Christmas tree.

Southern Prince George's residents seek recreational upgrades
As a 37,000 square-foot technology and recreation facility is under construction in Fort Washington and a large-scale aquatic center is planned for Brandywine, southern Prince George's residents are starting to feel pretty good about their park and recreation facilities.
A dug-out canoe believed to be nearly 2,000 years old has been turned back over to the Underwater Archaeology Branch by the Harmony Hall Plantation Committee and the Bladen County Historical Society.
