Earthquakes continue to shake the Central California area between national parks

October 2, 2009 - Central California has felt a long series of tremors since the United States Geological Survey reported the original earthquake on Thursday, October 01, 2009 at 03:01:23 a.m. This was a 5.1 magnitude earthquake, with an epicenter approximately 18 miles southeast of Lone Pine, in Central California.
