His family includes his wife, Elizabeth Rippetoe of Baltimore, Md.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James Michael and Cherie Rippetoe of York, Pa., and Michael Joseph Rippetoe of Baltimore, Md.; three daughters, Sandra Ruth Wiley of York, Pa., Elizabeth Louise Shao of Hermitage, and Carol C. Obrien of Littlestown, Pa.; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

    Police: York City intruder dies after altercation

    A North York man died Tuesday night after walking into the York City apartment of his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend and engaging the man in a fight, according to police. Bobby Hetrick, 45, of the 1100 block of North George Street, died in York Hospital's emergency department about 8 p.m., York County Chief Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley said.

    Memorial service remembers York-area homicide victims

    Sharon Ryen was glad she attended a vigil Sunday to celebrate the life of her husband, who was murdered 14 years ago, but if all were right with the world, she would have been able to have a much happier celebration that day. "Today would have been his birthday - Dec. 7," the Lewisberry resident said after the vigil.
