    Gene Sosin, 93, Of White Plains

    Sosin earned a doctorate degree from Columbia University, and was the former director of broadcasting for Radio Liberty, along with being a writer, lecturer, and specialist in Soviet affairs, He is survived by his wife, Gloria Donen Sosin; children Deborah Sosin of Watertown, Mass., Donald Sosin and his wife Joanna Seaton of Lakeville, Conn.; and two grandchildren, Nick and Mollie Sosin. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Community Synagogue, 200 Forest Ave. in Rye.
