    The Clark County Medical Examiner's Office identified the 31-year-old Vancouver man shot and killed by police last week during a domestic violence call, ruling his death a homicide. The agency said Sebastian T. Lewandowski died of multiple gunshot and shotgun wounds.

    Doris Margaret Larsen was born May 10, 1918, a daughter of Casberg and Olava Larsen, near Larson. Doris was raised and educated in the Larson and Columbus communities before moving to Bowbells in 1934 and attended Bowbells High School as a junior; she graduated from there in 1936.

    Vancouver police kill man carrying replica gun

    Vancouver, Washington, police officers responding to a report of a fire and domestic disturbance at an apartment complex fatally shot a man who they say refused to drop what appeared to be an AR-15 style weapon. Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said Wednesday that the gun was later determined to be a replica.

During a celebration honoring the life of Bud Van Cleve on Saturday, one of his daughters said Van Cleve would be greeted in heaven by friends and family members who loved him.

    Jean Mavis Coleman, 94, of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of Beverly, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Manor Care Skilled Nursing in Vancouver. She had been the head librarian at the Beverly Library for 21 years, and was a former council member for the Village of Beverly.
