    The porch of 308 Kossuth Ave in east Utica has been turned into a shrine in memory of the man friends and family say died inside the burning home late Sunday night. Utica Police have not yet released the name of the man whose body was found in the house.

    Ralph Hansmann of Ridgewood, noted investment manager

    Ralph E. Hansmann, an investment manager lauded for his stewardship of the endowment of Hamilton College, his alma mater, died last Thursday at home in Ridgewood. He was 97. The native of Utica, N.Y., graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Hamilton, in Clinton, N.Y., and completed an MBA at Harvard.

    AKWESASNE – Mr. Darrell E.     The funeral for Trooper Donald R. Fredenburg Jr., who collapsed and died during a training run, was held in Utica this morning. The funeral at Church of Our Lady of Lourdes began at 11 a.m. He was buried with full state police and U.S. Marine Corps honors, the Utica Observer-Dispatch reported.

    Several Onondaga County agencies are sending officers and deputies to services for a New York State trooper who died suddenly last week. Sgt. John Toomey, who heads the Syracuse Police Department's ceremonial unit, said details are still being finalized, but the department plans to send officers to the calling hours and funeral for Trooper Donald R.
