    A child who died of leukemia 35 years ago is the subject of a new memorial unveiled Monday inside St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. Christopher Greicius, 7, served as the inspiration for the creation of the Make-A-Wish Foundation , which grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.

    A Texas woman died Saturday night after her vehicle was struck by a driver traveling the wrong way on Interstate 35. Starla Dusteen Garcia, 42, of San Antonio, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was pinned in her vehicle for two hours before being freed by the medical examiner's office.

    A vigil Saturday evening to remember a man shot to death by an off-duty, uniformed San Antonio police officer a year ago included several speakers who said the family needs answers and justice. A crowd of more than 50 people gathered to remember 23-year-old Marquise Jones at a lot next door to Chacho's & Chalucci's at 8614 Perrin-Beitel Road, where he was fatally shot by SAPD officer Robert Encina on Feb. 28, 2014.
