    Pope Francis Blesses Photo of Girls Killed in Mansio...

    A D.C. area priest asked pontiff to pray for family of a Reston IT executive who was killed, along with his wife and 4 grandchildren. Pope Francis has blessed a photo of two Maryland sisters who were killed in a January mansion fire that also took the lives of their grandparents and two cousins, and the pontiff blessed a statue to be given to the girls' parents.

    He was a retired professor, PhD for Wheeling Jesuit University, a U.S. Army Veteran and a Catholic by Faith. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Anne Spinden Loner; one son, Jamie Loner of Greenwich, CT; one daughter, Annie VanHilst of Reston, VA; two stepsons, David Williams of Easton, MD and Richard Williams of Wheeling; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Lynn DePasquale, of Wheeling, WV; Alecia Fincham of Washington, PA, who was like a daughter to the family; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Brannen of Durango, CO; and four grandchildren: Ryan Williams, Riley VanHilst, Griffin VanHilst and Brooks Loner.

    D.C. police have arrested a man who they think pulled a woman into an alley and sexually assaulted her Tuesday morning in Columbia Heights. The woman told police that she was walking in the 1400 block of Clifton Street NW when a man attacked her at about 6:50 a.m. He sexually assaulted her and robbed her, police said.

Born August 31, 1968 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of Patricia K. Burcham Cheuvront of Murfreesboro, TN and Thomas R. Sayre of Reston, VA.
