    Joseph Elliott, who represented Carson City, dies at 70

    Elliott graduated from Clovis High and attended Fresno State before enlisting in the U.S. Navy and eventually served in Vietnam. After leaving the Navy, Elliott moved to Reno to be near his father and fell in love with Northern Nevada's rugged terrain.

    Natural Causes Suspected in UNR Student's Death

    The Washoe County Chief Medical Examiner says natural causes are suspected in the death of 19-year-old University of Nevada student Elizabeth Van Kleek. Van Kleek, who was found unresponsive by her roommate early Sunday morning, December 7, was transported to Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno where she was pronounced dead at 9:44 a.m. "The autopsy has been completed" said Washoe County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Ellen Clark.
