    Evelyn Alice Jaron, of North Attleboro, a retired supervisor, died Sunday at Golden Living Center - Attleboro. She was 99. Born in Attleboro, Mrs. Jaron lived in North Attleboro since 1996 after returning to Massachusetts from San Diego where she had lived from 1980 to 1996.

    PawSox President Jim Skeffington dies at 73

    By News Staff news@abc6.com Pawtucket Red Sox President Jim Skeffington died while jogging Sunday night in Barrington, according to a spokesperson for PawSox. Skeffington, 73, has been a key figure in the effort to bring the PawSox to Providence and put them in a proposed $85 million stadium on the 195 redevelopment land.

    George N. De Filippo, 84, Of Rye

    De Filippo was born on Dec. 6, 1930, to Gelsomino De Filippo and Elizabeth Melillo De Filippo, graduating from Rye High School in 1948 and serving in the Navy during the Korean War. He returned home and served as a member of the Rye Police Department, retiring at the end of 1992 after 37 years and going on to work with the Rye Marina Commission and Rye Recreation.
