    Obituary: Anna L. Zollo

    Anna L. Zollo, 101, the widow of Charles Zollo, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at Paradigm Healthcare Center of Prospect. Anna was born June 27, 1913 in Middletown, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Alfia Leonardo, having lived most of her life in Beacon Falls, and was first and foremost dedicated to her family.

    Dedicated Hawks earn win

    Prior to the game versus neighboring rival Naugatuck, Woodland head coach Jess Moffo addressed the crowd to announce that the game was being dedicated to the memory of Margaret Varhol. Varhol of Prospect passed away Feb. 2 at the age of 52. Varhol, the wife of Paul Varhol, was a long time member of the Woodland Football Booster Club.
