    CHICAGO - A south suburban woman was ordered held on $750,000 bond after she fatally stabbed a woman during a family party Monday night in Riverdale, police said. Natassia Pettis, 32, was charged was with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing of 19-year-old Keianna Paul during a family gathering in the 14100 block of South Dearborn, said Riverdale Deputy Chief Rocky Graziano.

    A man was killed and another injured in a shooting early Sunday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. The men were in a van at a stoplight in the 1400 block of West 71st Street about 3:20 a.m. when a tan SUV pulled up behind them and shots were fired, police said.

    A Calumet City woman is charged with fatally stabbing another woman during a fight last week at a gas station in the Far South Side Roseland neighborhood. Cierra Moore, 27, was discovered unresponsive in a vehicle about 2:35 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 10100 block of South Michigan, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

    William "Bill" Hawkinson, former president and general manager of Hawkinson Ford Company and longtime Oak Lawn resident, passed away unexpectedly the morning of Feb. 2 of cardiac tamponade. He was 64. Hawkinson was well recognized in the automotive industry for sales and customer service.

    A 27-year-old south suburban woman who was found unresponsive with a stab wound Saturday in a vehicle on the Far South Side died Monday night, officials said. Cierra Moore, of the 3400 block of Hazel Lane in East Hazel Crest, was pronounced dead at 11:33 p.m. Monday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
