    Norwalk Basketball Community Stunned By Coach's Sudd...

    Maurice "Mo" Tomlin, a former basketball star and coach for the Senators, died Tuesday of a heart attack at age 42. Tomlin worked as a security guard at McMahon and was the school's varsity basketball coach from 2007 to 2012. He was also the former athletic director at the Carver Center in Norwalk.

    Morison was born Dec. 13, 1930, in New York City and was the daughter of the late Ernest LaTorre and Maria Favale LaTorre. She is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Connors, her husband Paul, two granddaughters, Alexa and Taylor, all of Norwalk; a sister, Madeline Solari of Wilton; and several nieces and nephews.

    Edward McGuinness,83, Of Norwalk

    NORWALK, Conn. Edward J. McGuinness, 83, husband of Jeanette McCallum McGuinness and the late Rose Shimko McGuinness, died Sunday, March 1. Born April 18, 1931, in the Bronx, N.Y., to the late John and Agnes McGuinness, he grew up in Norwalk and attended local parochial schools before joining the U.S. Navy in 1950.

    Born in 1922 and raised in Waverly, Va., Kealey moved to Richmond, Va., after high school to attend secretarial school and then moved to Washington, D.C., where she lived for seven years working for the War Department and, later, for IBM. It was in Washington at a state dance where she met her future husband, Warren, then a student at Georgetown Law School.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.

    Joseph Frank Oleksy of Wilton, husband of the late Elizabeth Hruncak Oleksy, died Monday, Feb. 23, at Wilton Meadows Rehabilitation Center. He was 96. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Bianco and her husband, Hank, of Wilton; by his granddaughter, Victoria Bianco of Charlotte, N.C., and grandson Joseph Bianco of Wilton; his sister, Alice Yurchision of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
