    Mary Ann Beck, of Southern Pines, N.C., dies at age 84

    A memorial service for Mary Ann Beck, formerly of the township, will be held Wednesday, March 4, at noon at the Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 330 S. May St., Southern Pines, N.C. Born in Newark, she grew up and lived in Millburn Township until 1983. Mrs. Beck was the wife of late Paul Beck, who served as the head track and field coach at Millburn High School for 33 years and the school district's director of athletics from 1976 until his retirement in 1982.

    Cephas Bowles, former c.e.o. and president of WBGO in Newark, N.J., died Feb. 21 in Hackensack, N.J., from complications from a stem cell transplant. He was 62. Bowles was senior executive of WBGO-FM from 1993 to 2014.

Bowles passed away Saturday at Hackensack University Medical Center following complications from a stem cell transplant, said his wife, Linda Arrington-Bowles.

    Genevieve R. Delaney, 71, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 6, 2015, at Stonebridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Duncannon.  Born on June 3, 1943, in Newark, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Thomas R. and Angelina Alberti, and lived in Monroe County for the past 25 years.  She is survived by a son, Seth Delaney and his companion, Stephanie Dodge, of Steelton,; a granddaughter, Jayna Delaney; and two sisters, Theresa McCabe and her husband, William, of Stroudsburg, and Madeline Keyworth of Parsippany, N.J.  There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, with a prayer service at 1 p.m. with Monsignor John Bergamo officiating.
