    Michael E. Koonce, 59, of Richlands died from injuries sustained in the head-on collision that occurred about 6 a.m. on Comfort Road near Francktown Road, according to the Highway Patrol. "Craven County Schools is deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Michael Koonce," said Superintendent Dr. Lane B. Mills.

    Alan E. Ley, 63, of North Vernon, died at 10:45 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Mr. Ley is survived by his parents, Robert and Mary Ebbing Ley of North Vernon; a son, Michael Ley of Columbus; a sister, Susan Tally of New Bern, North Carolina; and three grandchildren.
