    The report on the fatal fire came in just before 11 p.m. Monday, from the 2400 block of Pleasant Avenue South, according to a statement from the Minneapolis Fire Department. Crews found heavy smoke pouring from the second floor and quickly extinguished the fire in a bedroom there.
