    A third man has died and a fifth person arrested in a sports bat fight in which six people were shot in Bibb County, officials said. Almost a week after he was shot in the chest at a sports bar, a man has died Thursday from his injuries - making him the third fatality in the gun battle that injured three others in Bibb County.

    Titi Branch, Co-Founder of Miss Jessie's, Dead at 45

    Titi Branch, one of the co-founders of the successful natural hair care line, Miss Jessie's , died Dec. 4. Sources claim her death was a suicide, but there is no confirmation of that. With her sister Miko, Branch ran a popular New York salon since 1997, but the duo is most known for launching Miss Jessie's.

    They include pioneering leaders of United Methodist Women, a founder of United Methodist Men, an expert on sacraments and a doctor who risked and ultimately lost his life serving people where medical care was scarce. Theressa Hoover , the first African-American woman to become a top staff executive for The United Methodist Church, was a mentor to many young women, promoted the leadership of laywomen and engineered a secure future for the women's organization of the denomination during a period of tumultuous change.

    Thompson was born Jan. 16, 1909, in Macon, Ga. She moved to New York City in 1928 and has been a resident of Yonkers for 38 years.
