    Good Shepherd founder celebrated

    Family, friends and members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gaithersburg attended a celebration of founder Pastor Dan Oravec's life on Saturday. About 500 people came out to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gaithersburg on Saturday to celebrate the life and ministry of Pastor Daniel David Oravec, one of its founders, who died at 84 years old on Jan. 16 in his home in Shepardstown, W.Va.

    Good Shepherd founder celebrated

    About 500 people came out to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gaithersburg on Saturday to celebrate the life and ministry of Pastor Daniel David Oravec, one of its founders, who died at 84 years old on Jan. 16 in his home in Shepardstown, W.Va. Oravec was mission developer of the church in 1964 and served as senior pastor for 34 years.
