    Jersey City man is city's 21st homicide this year

    The 21-year-old man who was shot in his face Tuesday night in Jersey City has died from his injuries. The shooting took place on Union near Bergen Avenue around 6:30 p.m. The victim - identified yesterday as Dyrell Taylor - was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday, Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino said yesterday morning.

    Autopsy results released on stabbed woman and shot man

    Investigators have released autopsy information on the Jersey City Heights woman stabbed to death, allegedly by her ex-fiance, and on a city man shot multiple times in broad daylight in Greenville, both last week. Patricia Santana, 53, was stabbed multiple times in the upper neck, body and abdomen, according to the report on the autopsy performed at the state Regional Medical Examiner's Office in Newark Saturday, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino said yesterday afternoon.
