    The homeless, hungry, and poor congregated inside Old Bergen Church in Jersey City with homeless advocates yesterday for the sixth annual Homeless Persons' Memorial Day interfaith service. Clergy from houses of worship across Hudson County read from Psalms as the homeless community came together to mourn their losses and pray for an end to homelessness.

    Ms. Bigley was born in Union City to the late Archibald and Anna McCormick. She lived in Rutherford for 52 years since 1962.

    Joseph Scott Delaney, 42, of Manchester, formerly of Rutherford for 20 years and Jersey City, passed away after bravely battling a long illness on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014. He was born in Jersey City to Joseph W. and Susan Delaney.

    The Jersey City Fire Department is putting smiles on the faces of thousands of children this holiday season in memory of one of its own fallen heroes. More than 100 firefighters and family members on Saturday collected and wrapped more than 4,000 toys at St. Joseph Church on Pavonia Avenue.

    Mark Zenzer dies at 53

    Born in Jersey City, he was raised in Weehawken prior to settling in Glen Rock 43 years ago. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed going on motorcycle trips with friends, especially to Cape May. He was employed as a mechanic for Saddle Brook Auto in Saddle Brook for many years.

    Julia J. Holloway of Lyndhurst dies at age 93

    Mrs. Holloway was born in Jersey City and had been a resident of Lyndhurst for more than 60 years. She worked for Bollenbach Knitting Mills, Lyndhurst, for 15 years, retiring in 1995.

    Edward Malejko, 85, died in his home on Dec. 2 in Howell due to a long battle with lung cancer. Mr. Malejko was born on Dec. 3, 1928, in Jersey City, to his parents, John and Stella Malejko.

    Born in Jersey City, Mr. Ganley lived in Rutherford for more than 40 years. He worked as a foreman for the CSX Railroad in Kearney for 38 years before retiring in 2007.
