    Veteran Newsman Adrian Gibson Dies

    Adrian Gibson , a longtime anchor/reporter and weatherman for WAAY in Huntsville, Ala, has passed away at the age of 78. His wife Patty told WAAY that her husband had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Gibson worked at the ABC affiliate for 34 years, from December 1970 until his retirement in December 2004.

    HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- James Elwyn Johnston, 77, who had a 45-year career with NASA and was a Silver Snoopy recipient, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at his Athens home. He came to Huntsville in 1959 and worked for the Army Missile Command until 1963, at which time he transferred to NASA and joined the von Braun team.
