    Teen Dies In Shooting 5 Months After His Father Was ...

    A 17-year-old city youth who was shot on Irving Street Tuesday night died early Wednesday morning, police said. Mariano Gonzalez III, of Fairmont Street, whose father was shot to death in Hartford in December, was found in a car near 124 Irving St. shortly before 9 p.m. and was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

    A woman who lives across from the East Hartford house where Beverly Therrien and two others were slain some time before Thanksgiving 2010 testified Wednesday that Brett Bednarz made nasty comments about Therrien and asked whether money was hidden in the house. Kathy Socolosky told a Hartford Superior Court jury hearing the murder case against Bednarz Wednesday that she was close to Andrew Bednarz, Brett's father and Therrien's ex-husband.
