    Mr. Roberts served admirably in World War II from 1944 to 1946, as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force, 379th Bombardment Group, wherein he was awarded Air Medals and Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr. Roberts worked in the airline business throughout his career, including for Curtis Wright in Buffalo, N.Y., Eastern Airlines in Miami, Fla., and Alaska International Air in Fairbanks, Alaska.

    12-year-old Ju rez boy dies from fireworks injury

    A 12-year-old Juarez boy died Monday from various injuries which he sustained after several fireworks exploded as he tried to light them, according to the Chihuahua Attorney General's Office. Christian Alexis Hernandez Landeros died at around 11:30 a.m., at a local hospital where family members took him after the fireworks explosion, said Julio Castaneda from the attorney general's office.
