    Sewell B. Palmer Jr.

    Born June 25, 1942, in Charles Town, he was the son of Mary Ramsburg Palmer, of Inwood and the late Sewell Butler Palmer Sr. Soupy spent his earlier years working in construction and then worked for the Halltown Paperboard Co. He later finished his working years at the Charles Town Races.

    Thieves are now using stolen credit card data to make bogus purchases on Apple Pay, Apple's mobile payment system. The Wall Street Journal reports the stolen credit card information is believed to have come from recent hacks on American retailers, including Home Depot and Target.

    Manufacturer with plants in Bristol and Benton Harbo...

    A major manufacturer with locations in Bristol and Benton Harbor will get more time from creditors after missing a payment in February. Chassix, Inc., an automotive parts manufacturer based in suburban Detroit, announced this week that they reached a deal with their creditors for a month-long extension of their grace period after they failed to make an interest payment on Feb. 2. The missed payment triggered a 30-day grace period, but this agreement will give the company until April.

    Three people struck in truck accident in Elkhart

    Elkhart police report 3 people were hit by a truck as they were walking on Cassopolis in Elkhart. Police were called to a crash in the 2200 block of Cassopolis just before 8pm Friday.
