    Frank Audette, longtime Detroit area Cadillac dealer...

    Frank Audette, the creator of the Troy Motor Mall and founder of the former Audette Cadillac dealership in suburban Detroit, died April 10. He was 90. Audette was married to the late Peggy Fisher, the daughter of Edward Fisher, one of the famous Fisher brothers involved with General Motors from its earliest days. Audette, a Detroit native, served in World War II before returning home to attend the University of Detroit on a football scholarship.

    Mitchelle Blair was arraigned Thursday before 36th District Judge Kenneth King on charges that now include two counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated murder -- which carry mandatory life sentences, two counts of torture and four counts of first-degree child abuse. The bodies of two of Blair's children, Stoni Ann Blair, 13, and Stephen Gage Berry, 9, were found inside a freezer as the 35-year-old mother was being evicted from the Martin Luther King apartment complex in Detroit.

    Thirteen-year-old Stoni A. Blair and her 9-year-old half-brother, Stephen Gage Berry, died brutal deaths, their bodies stored for years in the deep freezer of a Detroit apartment before anyone knew the tragic truth. Blame followed in the wake of the revelation, and the fathers -- Alexander J. Dorsey, the 35-year-old father of Stoni and Blair's surviving 17-year-old daughter; and Steven Berry, 31, of Redford, the father of Stephen and Blair's surviving 8-year-old -- have bore a large brunt of it.

    What is round, the size of a grapefruit, weighs nine pounds, and was buried under a Kilgore parking lot for decades? Well, frankly, we aren't really sure. It was found at the Region VII Education Services Center on Longview Street in Kilgore.
