    A native of Rutherford County, she was born July 15, 1929, the eighth of eight boys and four girls, to Roy Douglas and Sallie Thomas Lee. She married W.E. Wood in May of 1946, who preceded her in death November, 2011.

    Russell W. Baer, 83, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 9, 2015, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton. He passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family.
