    Victor Hollifield Jr.

    He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Victor Hollifield Sr. and Bertie Brown Hollifield; and his wife, Cora Mae Sutton Hollifield. He was survived by four children: Vickie Park of Cleveland, Susan Patton of Pittsburgh and Steven Hollifield and Brian Hollifield, both of Athens; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Virgil Hollifield of Indianapolis and Jack Hollifield of Cleveland; one sister, Peggy Duke of Dalton, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

    Ruth B. Moody, 90

    Ruth B. Moody, 90, of Dalton and Center Harbor, N.H., died Thursday, April 16, 2015. Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 10, 1924, the only child of John L. and Lillian V. Bowerman, she graduated from the former Dalton High School in 1942 and attended the former Pittsfield Secretarial School.
