    Evacuation plans readied as Buffalo flooding looms

    More than 30 horses died in a stable fire in suburban Chicago over the weekend, with distraught owners of the animals arriving Sunday to lay flowers at the site, a fire department official said. Former District of Columbia Mayor Marion Barry, whose four terms were overshadowed by his 1990 arrest after being caught on videotape smoking crack cocaine, died Sunday morning.

    Gary H. Fouts, 70, passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2014, in Elk Grove, IL, after a yearlong batter with appendix cancer. Born May 22, 1944, in Buffalo, N.Y., he grew up with his sister, mother and father in Cheektowaga, N.Y. Gary's career as a salesman in the pet industry allowed him to live many different places throughout his career including Greenfield from 2000 to 2013.

    Man found dead in vehicle near Buffalo; snowstorm de...

    A 50-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle Friday in Western New York, raising the snowstorm death toll to 13. Two elderly people died while being evacuated from the Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga. The nursing home was being evacuated because of storm-related structural damage, according to The Buffalo News.

WVU freshman Nolan Burch, 18, of Buffalo, NY died last Friday after being found unresponsive at a frat house two days earlier.
