Antique lover founded vintage hardware legacy

He and his wife moved to Central Florida in 1985 and set up shop at Renninger's Antique Center in Mount Dora for what became a 29-year run. After returning from two years in the Navy during World War II, he began to collect things around his home in Binghamton, N.Y. "His passion grew and grew," to the point that "if you said The Hardware Man, people automatically knew you were talking about George Baker," said his granddaughter, Julia Palomino of Eustis.
