    Walter John Mager of Rutherford dies at age 68

    Born in Batavia, N.Y., Mr. Mager was a self-employed plumbing and heating contractor with CJW in Rutherford as well as the plumbing inspector for the Borough of Rutherford. He also was an instructor for Eastwich College Hohokus Trade Division of Plumbing and Heating.

    Horseman Tony Strollo dies at 76

    Anthony Michael Strollo, 76, a longtime resident of Batavia, NY, died April 26 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease at the home of his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in Manahawkin, NJ. Mr. Strollo was a retired Standardbred trainer and driver at Batavia Downs, Buffalo Raceway, Yonkers Raceway, the Meadowlands and Garden State Park.
